MAT 167 Calculus 1 Class Orientation

Welcome to my MAT 167 class.

I need to mention a few important things for start-up:

  1. The course syllabus is on-line and it is a part of our class home page. The main page contains general information that you need to know about the course. In there, you will find a link to course outline page. The course outline page contains weekly schedule, homework assignments, weekly quizzes and their solutions, and important notices regarding quizzes and exams.
  2. This weblog contains important summary of my daily lectures and some other discussions on math. Students can ask questions through comments but only registered students can leave comments. You will find a link to register for this blog under “Meta” on the right side of this blog page. To register you will have to use your real name and your snail e-mail address. No nickname or anonymity is allowed. The registration is simple and quick. Once registration is done, you will receive an automatically generated password to login by e-mail. It is strongly advised that you change the automatically generated password to one you can easily remember. In this blog, students can type mathematical expressions for their questions in the comments using LaTex code. For a simple instruction, click here.

I wish you all good luck with the course and with your semester.
